Meaning of the Ace of Pentacles

Aces are the start of a cycle, showing fresh action—all of them have a positive feel.

The suit of pentacles is about the physical world; money, work, career, and health. And all aces are about new energy coming into the world—about new beginnings.

The Ace of Pentacles brings new energy related to the physical world of money and work (and sometimes health).

It is a very positive card and can positively influence the other cards drawn.

This card could indicate new energy entering a situation, and can indicate a new manifestation of something into the physical world. It could show that you have a new opportunity to make money.

It can also indicate riches, happiness, confidence, and contentment.

As with all cards, you need to look at the surrounding cards. It can, on occasions, mean materiality or the negative side of money—as always, use your intuition

This is a very positive card to draw in a career reading, and if you’re asking a yes/no question, then this is the green light to go ahead.

Also, if you’re asking about a new business or marketing idea, the Ace of Pentacles is a very auspicious card to draw.

Remember, though, that all the aces show the beginnings, good beginnings, but still beginnings. So it’s not yet time to open the champagne, but time to plant seeds—plan and activate your plans!

That said, it can sometimes indicate money coming your way.

In a relationship reading, the Ace of Pentacles is still a positive card, although it might suggest a work or financial slant. Perhaps you’ll find someone new through work, or perhaps an attraction where money plays a part might be indicated.

The Ace of Pentacles is also positive in a spiritual reading, despite being in the physical suit, and can show that you are on the right track. It also indicates abundance in spiritual matters.

Reversed Meanings of the Ace of Pentacles

Reversed, it could still carry positive meanings, just of a lesser intensity than the upright position.

There may be something blocking you from moving forward with your career or financial goals.

It could also indicate materialism, prosperity without happiness, greed, money misused, or corruption.
